The Kansas City Royals lost to the Detroit Tigers 9-4 and lose two out of three in the series.

Brady Singer had another rocky outing. Singer gave up five runs over seven innings. His ERA has risen to 6.34. Matthew Boyd pitched a quality start for the Tigers, giving up two runs over six innings while striking out seven.

Freddy Fermin had a three hit day for the Royals. He had a pair of doubles and two RBI. Matt Beaty and Dairon Blanco also drove in runs for Kansas City.

The Royals have lost 15 of 18 games.

Kansas City has fallen to 20-54 on the season. Only the Oakland Athletics have a worse record in the Majors.
