A Warrensburg man is facing five felony counts of possession of child pornography after an investigation on Friday, June 16.

Investigators executed a search warrant at 57-year-old Billy Matheny’s residence and business, both located in Warrensburg. During the execution of the search warrants, investigators discovered images of child pornography on Matheny’s computer. On June 17, 2023, the Johnson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office formally charged Matheny with five counts of possession of child pornography.

Matheny is currently being held in the Pettis County Jail on a $100,000 bond. The Warrensburg Police Department, Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, and the Air Force OSI all assisted in the investigation.

Matheny was arraigned on Wednesday, June 21 at Johnson County Circuit Court.
