A 16-year-old Higginsville juvenile male driver was moderately injured in a one-vehicle accident in Lafayette County on Thursday, June 22.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the accident occurred when the juvenile struck a cow in the roadway.

The juvenile was transported by Higginsville EMS to Children’s Mercy Hospital with moderate injuries.

The accident occurred at 9:40 p.m. on Highway 13 south of Route U in Lafayette County.
