The Salisbury School District Board of Education appointed a new board member during its meeting on Wednesday, June 21.
Several nominations were made and seconded, but failed to pass. Diane Cooper tried to approve a motion to table the nominations so that the board could conduct an interview process for the candidates that applied. That motion also failed.
Later in the meeting, Regina Boss was nominated to be appointed as a board member. The motion was seconded and passed with a 5-1 vote.
In other news, the board approved the Elementary and High School Student Handbooks as presented.
