A Sedalia woman is facing two felony drug charges after being pulled over by Sedalia police on Saturday, June 24.

According to the Sedalia Police Department, an officer pulled over a vehicle driven by Jennie Schwermer for crossing over a double yellow line on Broadway Boulevard. The officer discovered that the vehicle reportedly did not belong to Schwermer. The officer also discovered that Schwermer had a warrant out of Pike County.

Authorities searched Schwermer’s purse and discovered baggies of methamphetamine, baggies of pills, and several syringes.

Schwermer was charged with two felonies for possession of a controlled substance. Bond was set at $50,000 cash or surety.

Schwermer was arraigned on June 26. She has a counsel status hearing scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 11, at Pettis County Circuit Court.
