The City of Slater is encouraging residents to use extreme caution with fireworks during the 4th of July holiday.

Slater City Administrator Gene Griffith says residents should be considerate and have good judgement.

Also, there is no open flame burning allowed in city limits, according to the Slater Fire Department.
