A De Witt teenager was seriously injured in a one-vehicle accident in Carroll County on Saturday, July 1.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the accident occurred when the 17-year-old female lost control of a vehicle as it traveled across the railroad tracks. The vehicle traveled of the roadway and struck a ditch, overturning several times.

The teenager was transported to University Hospital in Columbia with serious injuries.

The accident occurred at 5:38 p.m. on Highway 41 in Carroll County.
