A Marshall woman was injured in a one-vehicle accident on Interstate 70 on Monday, July 3.

A Missouri State Highway Patrol report says the accident occurred when 28-year-old Ariel Strahl fell asleep at the wheel, causing her vehicle to travel off the left side of the roadway and strike the cable barrier.

Strahl was transported to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment of her injuries.

The accident occurred at 3 p.m. on westbound I-70, at mile marker 96 in Cooper County.
