
Several individuals were injured in a one-vehicle accident in Saline County on Sunday, July 2.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the accident occurred when a vehicle driven by 20-year-old Lelia Horelka crossed over the highway and went airborne. The vehicle traveled off the roadway, overturned and struck a tree, coming to rest on its top.
Two 15 and 17 year old occupants as well as 18-year-old occupant Christian Tatum were transported to Fitzgibbon Hospital with moderate injuries. 19-year-old Danasia Hammer of Marshall was transported by life flight to University Hospital with serious injuries. Horelka also suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Fitzgibbon Hospital.
The accident occurred at 9:15 p.m. on 170th Trail east of Route E in Saline County.
