The Marshall City Council approved several bids during its meeting on Wednesday, July 5.
The council started by approving a bid for a tractor and arm mower in the amount of $150,000. Mayor Vincent Lutterbie reported that the arm mower won’t be available until November, so the city will have to borrow one.
After some discussion over the benefits of the equipment, the council approved a motion and accepted the bid.
Also, the council approved a bid for work to be done at the Marshall Animal Shelter. The shelter has to fix a couple of things in order to pass an inspection from the State. The cost of the bid is $26,400 to complete the work. The council approved with a unanimous vote.
