The Marshall City Council approved an agreement between the City of Marshall and the Board of Public Works to sell water to Consolidated Water Supply District Number Two of Lafayette, Johnson and Saline Counties during its meeting on Wednesday, July 5.

According to Marshall Municipal Utilities General Manager Jeff Bergstrom the existing 35 year contract will expire in 2026.

The agreement will raise allocation of water by 4.6 percent, set daily and monthly limits on water and a dispute resolution clause was added to the new agreement.
