The Sedalia City Council considered a quote for body worn cameras for the Sedalia Police Department during its meeting on Monday, July 3.
The council received a quote from Turn-Key Mobile in the amount of $90,024 for the new cameras. City Administrator Kelvin Shaw said replacing the cameras was one of the council’s top priorities.
The old cameras are beyond their life expectancy. The quote is under the $91,000 budget. The council approved and accepted the quote.
In other news, the council passed an ordinance amending the Fiscal Year 2023-2024 budget regarding Pioneer Trails Regional Planning Commission dues.
The council had previously decided to not include the dues in its budget, but after a presentation and some discussion, the council reversed that decision.
