The Sedalia City Council approved permanent and temporary easements for storm drainage improvements during its meeting on Monday, July 3.

City Administrator Kelvin Shaw stated the city had identified several areas for improvement and had been waiting on funding sources for the projects. Shaw stated that state ARPA funding in the amount of $2.5 million had become available and the city will match another $2.5 million from local ARPA funding for the projects over the next two years.

In other news, the council discussed the annexation of Clover Dell Park into the city limits of Sedalia. The Missouri State Fair had recently purchased property between the park and the city limits and the state had annexed that property. With the park now contiguous to the city the council approved the park’s annexation.
