The Sweet Springs Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying three subjects involved in a theft.

On July 10, 2023, at approximately 6:00 p.m., two Hispanic females and one Hispanic male entered The Market at 401 South Locust Street. The trio made their way throughout the store before the male subject checked out at the cash register.

While the male subject was distracting the cashier, the two females made their way to the office area. One female entered the office and accessed the safe, removing the cash from the safe while the other posted at the office entry as a lookout.

The trio then left the store in an unknown direction, possibly in a silver or gray van.
