The Marshall Municipal Utilities Board of Public Works considered an update to MMU’s Street Lighting policy during its meeting on Friday, July 14.
MMU General Manager Jeff Bergstrom said the policy was last updated in 1997. The change Bergstrom proposed reflects the switch from high pressure sodium fixtures to LED.
The board approved the update to the Street Lighting Policy as presented.
In other news, the board approved a motion to purchase a new 36 inch large format printer and scanner using quotes. The old unit is 14 year old and has failed several times. The approximate cost of the new unit is $8,495.
