Two local individuals were killed in a small plane crash in Osage Beach on Thursday, July 13.

22-year-old Hayden Ritchhart of Carrollton and 19-year-old Evan Vandiver of Richmond were reported killed in the crash. 54-year-old Gary Vandiver of Richmond was also seriously injured.

The Osage Beach Police Department received a report at approximately noon that a small plane had gone down. The plane reportedly had taken off from the Grand Glaize Airport.

A witness reported observing the plane take off and crash shortly after. Ritchhart was believed to be flying the plane.

The plane was located in a wooded area south of Route KK near Highway 54.
