Cooling centers are available in different towns throughout Cooper County.

According to the Cooper County Public Health Center, there are shelters in Boonville, Otterville, Prairie Home, and Pilot Grove.

Boonville:
-Boonslick Heartland YMCA from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m.
-Boonslick Regional Library during business hours. 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday; 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday; and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
-Cooper County Courthouse from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
-Cooper County Public Health Center from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Otterville:
-Otterville City Hall from noon to 8 p.m. during heat advisories.

Prairie Home:
– Prairie Home Methodist Church Fellowship Hall from noon to 8 p.m. during heat advisories.

Pilot Grove:
-Katy Manor to be used as needed by the community.
