Members of the Missouri General Assembly have announced the passing of vital funds in the state’s operating budget for Fiscal Year 2024.

District 51 Representative Kurtis Gregory helped fight for the funding in Saline County.

The budget includes $3,913,168 for the city of Marshall’s water infrastructure. This will go to pumping station and water main upgrades along with improvement studies at the water treatment plant.

The budget also includes $500,000 for Sweet Springs. The funds are for the Sweet Springs Restoration Foundation, which has thrived thanks to the hard work of volunteers and private donations as they work fix up the buildings in historic downtown Sweet Springs.

The state also managed to secure and allocated funds through the Department of Natural Resources to make upgrades to the RV park and campgrounds at Arrow Rock State Park.
