The Boonville City Council approved a resolution suspending open container prohibition for the Knights of Columbus Irish Road Bowling event during its meeting on Monday, July 17.

City Administrator Kate Fjell stated the event will be held on August 26.

The council was also informed that Boonville Police will be involved in traffic control for the La Vuelta Americana event which will be held on August 19. The event will be a competitive bicycle race that will begin downtown.
