The Howard County Sheriff’s Office arrested two subjects with active warrants.

A Deputy with the Howard County Sheriff’s Office observed a black Chevrolet Equinox believed to be occupied by two subjects with active Howard County warrants on County Road 208 on July 12. The Deputy ran the license plate and confirmed that it was the correct vehicle. The Deputy initiated a traffic stop on the Chevrolet Equinox, and the vehicle failed to yield to the Deputy’s emergency lights and siren, and a pursuit began.

Another Deputy deployed a tire deflation device at the intersection of County Road 208 and County Road 213, successfully deflating the vehicle’s passenger side front tire as well as the vehicle’s drivers’ side rear tire. A short distance later the vehicle came to a stop.

Two occupants attempted to flee on foot from the vehicle but stopped. Bailey Perry and Raejaun Williams were taken into custody without further incident and transported to The Howard County Jail.
A probable cause search of the vehicle resulted in the location of suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Court documents say Williams was charged with felonies for possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and resisting arrest.Perry has been charged with those same felonies as well as a felony for hindering prosecution. Bond for Williams was set at $20,000 cash only.

Williams has a bond review hearing scheduled for 9 a.m. Tuesday, July 25 at Howard County Circuit Court.
