The Sedalia City Council considered a budget amendment for a generator maintenance agreement during its meeting on Monday, July 17.
The city has several emergency backup generators for city buildings just in case of power outages. The city has a contract to complete routine maintenance and a system check. However, Shaw stated that this year’s contract renewal was higher than anticipated.
The council approved the $4,399.55 budget amendment in the city’s fiscal year budget.
