Two Sedalia residents were injured in a two-vehicle accident in Pettis County on Thursday, July 20.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the accident occurred when a vehicle slowed to avoid debris in the roadway and was struck by a car driven by 54-year-old Anita Akers.

Akers and 33-year-old passenger Jerrell Johnson were transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center with moderate injuries.

The accident occurred at 4:35 p.m. on Highway 50 east of Route MM.
