Steven M. Davis, 47, of Slater, MO, died Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall.  A masonic service will follow visitation and then an opportunity for sharing memories and stories will be available.  Private family inurnment will be in Slater City Cemetery.  Instead of sending flowers, Steven would appreciate you making a donation to Cambridge Masonic Lodge #63 AF&AM in care of the funeral home.  An online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com.

Steven was born on June 24, 1976, in Tacoma, Washington, and was the son of the late Christine Davis Nichols and James Fisher and stepson of Donald Nichols who survives of Rocheport.  He lived in Saline County most of his life and was a graduate of Slater High School.  On May 11, 2019, he married Shonda Jolliff who survives of the home.  Steven dedicated his life to public service as a law enforcement officer and emergency medical technician.  He served with the Slater Police Department, Marshall Police Department, Saline County Sheriff’s Office, Slater Ambulance District and Saline County Ambulance District.  Steven also served as a juvenile officer and with the Department of Public Safety at Missouri Valley College.  He was a member of Cambridge Masonic Lodge #63 AF&AM in Slater.

In addition to his wife, Shonda Jolliff-Davis and stepfather, Donald Nichols; he is survived by two daughters, Averie Jolliff-Davis and Quinn Jolliff-Davis; a stepson, Aiden Weiher; seven siblings: Bejay Nichols, Stacey Nichols-Lafore, Kasey Nichols, Jordan Nichols, Nichole Fisher-Crosbie, Jennifer Cantrell and Scott Fisher; his in-laws, Roger and Kathy Jolliff; as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many, many friends.
