A Cooper County Route has reopened after a bridge project has been completed early.
Constructions crews have completed work on the bridge over Petite Saline Creek ahead of schedule, opening Cooper County Route U earlier than expected. As of Friday, July 21, travelers in both directions were able to use the rehabilitated bridge.
Crews working with the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT), closed Route U over Petite Saline Creek on June 19 to replace expansion joints, make substructure repairs, and install a rock blanket. The contractor was allowed up to 80 calendar days to complete the work, but was able to reopen the roadway to all traffic on July 21.
