The Pettis County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by the Centre Alabama Police Department on Friday, July 21 seeking assistance with locating and arresting a subject who has been contacting a person they believed to be a 14-year-old female. Investigators with the Centre Police Department obtained a total of four warrants for Christopher Michael Cassidy of Sedalia, for Transmitting Obscene Material to a Child.

A search warrant was obtained for Cassidy’s residence in order to locate Cassidy as well as seize electronic devices. Pettis County authorities served the warrant at approximately 4:40 p.m. at motel on South Limit. Cassidy was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail pending the filing of formal charges of Fugitive from Justice.

No bond has been set.
