The Chariton County Route D bridge over East Fork of Bee Branch, located one-half mile west of Route 129, is now open. The bridge was replaced as part of the FARM (Fixing Access to Rural Missouri) Bridge Program. The bridge closed in April 2023 and reopened to all traffic on the evening, July 26.
Also on Route D, the Clark Branch Bridge, located approximately one mile east of Missouri Route 5, is still closed for replacement through the FARM Bridge Program. This bridge is anticipated to remain closed through early October 2023.
The FARM Bridge Program will replace deficient bridges on low-volume routes that are:
· Weight-restricted
· In poor condition
· On timber pile
· One-lane but carry two-way traffic
