A pedestrian was struck on I-70 in Lafayette County in the early morning hours of Thursday, July 27.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Jorge Millar Gonzalez of Liberal, Kansas was struck by an unknown vehicle identified only as a Ford in make. The vehicle fled the scene.

Gonzalez was transported to Centerpoint Medical Center with moderate injuries.

The accident occurred at 4 a.m. at mile marker 42.2 in Lafayette County.
