The Salisbury Board of Education set the date for a tax rate hearing during its meeting on Wednesday, July 26.

Board member and Treasurer Don Wyatt moved to hold the Tax Rate Hearing for the next board meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday, August 16 in the Central Office Board Room. The board passed that motion.

The board will also have a board session meeting on August 9.

In other news, the board moved to accept a policy change regarding employee sick days. The three established employee sick days will be made into three personal days. If they are not used, employees can be paid out for them or move them back into sick days at the end of each school year.
