An Ionia woman was moderately injured in a motorcycle accident in Pettis County on Friday, July 28.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the accident occurred when 37-year-old Angela Purvis crested a hill and lost control of the motorcycle while attempting to slow for a vehicle turning. Purvis’ motorcycle slid on its side before coming to a rest.

Purvis was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center with moderate injuries.

The accident occurred at 3:35 p.m. on Highway 52 west of Meisner Road in Pettis County.
