A Boonville man has been charged with multiple felonies in reference to a robbery at gunpoint on Tuesday, July 25.

According to a probable cause statement, Brandon Rhymes allegedly struck a victim in the face with a handgun while demanding property. The property allegedly taken by force included a phone, watch and wallet.

Rhymes allegedly forced the victim to clear his personal information from the phone while at gunpoint. Police also report that Rhymes took two grams of marijuana from the victim’s vehicle.

Court documents say Rhymes is charged with felonies for robbery in the first degree, armed criminal action, and assault in the second degree. Bond is fixed at $150,000 cash or surety.

No court dates have been set at this time.
