Bradlie made a point to nurture a special relationship with each and every one.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Berwyn and Helen Russell, and his maternal grandfather, William Singleton.
Bradlie was a longtime member and newly appointed Deacon of the Old Lamine Church of Christ. His first priority was his service to our Heavenly Father and our Lord Jesus Christ. Bradlie was dedicated to furthering the Kingdom and was known to have Bible studies with numerous individuals and well as leading a monthly study and fellowship with his Church brothers and neighbors, where Brad was known to provide God’s Word, love, good food, and words of encouragement.
Because of Brad’s dedication to the will of our Heavenly Father, he was a wise, fierce and loyal protector of his wife, children, parents, siblings and entire family. He never had to be asked, but always made himself actively present when needed. This loyalty and love extended to his church family, brothers-in-arms, friends and neighbors, which are many.
Retired Company First Sergent and U.S. Army veteran, Bradlie Russell’s third love was his military service and brothers-in-arms. He dedicated twenty years to the service of our country and spent a year in Kosovo on a peace keeping mission.
Brad was a 1998 graduate of Marshall High School, and received his bachelor’s degree in business from Missouri Valley College in 2004. He owned and operated Russell Brothers Trenching and Brad Russell Pipe Sales, where he worked closely with his best friend and brother, Dann.
The brothers together carried on the trade and business that they were taught together by their father. He was a past member of the Hardeman School Board. He served on the nominating committee for the REC Electric Board, was a member of the V.F.W., and had been a foster parent for seven years.
Brad will be most remembered for his serving spirit. There have been countless stories shared of his genuine and intentional acts of love for others. He strove to serve in quiet humility, and for this he will be greatly missed.
