The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for portions of the area until 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 1.

The warning has been issued for Pettis County, southwestern Saline County, northeastern Johnson county and southeastern Lafayette County including the cities of Sedalia, Concordia, Sweet Springs, La Monte, Smithton, Green Ridge, Corder, Alma. Houstonia, Emma, Hughesville and Aullville. The warning also includes Interstate 70 from mile markers 54 to 67.
