Due to recent rain the City of Sedalia will be lifting the burn ban effective August 2. Recreational fire pits are again authorized to be used. The Sedalia Fire Department still urges the community to use caution when burning and to never leave a fire unattended.

The city reminds citizens any burning of brush piles still requires a burn permit.
