The City of Slater’s new Mayor and Mayor Pro Tem were sworn in during the Slater City Council meeting on Tuesday, August 2, 2023.

New Mayor Terry Jordan and Mayor Pro Tem Matt Campbell were sworn in after being appointed by the council during the previous meeting. Jordan will serve the remainder previous Mayor Stephen Allegri’s term, which expires in April 2024.

In other news, the council approved a $5,700 bid from Lockton Companies for cyber insurance.

Also, several pool-related events are occurring in the city. The Pool Bash is scheduled for Tuesday, August 11, and the Dog Swim is scheduled for Friday, August 14.
