The Knob Noster Board of Aldermen approved an ordinance to annex portions of Highway 23 and Highway DD into the City of Knob Noster during its meeting on Tuesday, August, 1.

City Administrator Scott Peterson stated the city had recently annexed Knob Noster State Park and the ordinance allows for police and fire services to be extended to the park and highways adjacent to it.

The right-of-way includes approximately 69 acres on the southwest portion of the city.

According to Peterson, the city will have to submit the request to the Missouri Department of Transportation for final approval.
