
Steven Matz had another quality start as the St. Louis Cardinals beat the Colorado Rockies 6-2 on Saturday, August 5.
Matz gave up just one run on five hits over six innings. He waled two and struck out six. Giovanny Gallegos pitched a scoreless ninth to help St. Louis seal the victory.
Tyler O’Neill homered and Willson Contreras had two hits and two RBI for the Cardinals. Tommy Edman had a three-hit in the leadoff spot.
Ryan McMahon hit his 19th homer for the Rockies.
