
The Philadelphia Phillies snapped Kansas City’s seven game winning streak with a 9-6 win over the Royals on Saturday, August 5.
The game went back and forth through five innings, but the Phillies scored six unanswered runs to pull away from the red-hot Royals.
Freddy Fermin homered twice for the Royals, who only tallied six hits on the day.
Alec Bohm, Bryce Harper, and Trea Turner swatted home runs for the Phillies, who currently hold a wild card spot in the National League.
Alec Marsh went four innings, giving up three runs on six hits for Kansas City. The Phillies bullpen went four scoreless innings in the winning effort.
