The City Keytesville held a special election on Tuesday, August 8, to vote on a sale tax question relating to the sale of marijuana.

According to unofficial election results, citizens voted to approve a three percent sales tax on all retail sales of adult-use marijuana sold in Keytesville. 80.95 percent of voters voted in favor of the sales tax.

The election has yet to be certified.
