Two Carroll County residents were killed in a head on collision in Lafayette County on Monday, August 14.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the crash occurred when a vehicle driven by 61-year-old Gerald Ratcliffe, of Hale, crossed the center of the highway and struck a vehicle driven by a 17-year-old Carrollton teenager.

Ratcliffe was pronounced deceased at the scene. The male teenager was pronounced deceased at Carroll County Memorial Hospital.

The crash occurred at 6:27 p.m. on Highway 23, south of Jingles Road in Lafayette County.
