Marshall City Administrator J.D. Kehrman gave an update on the removal of tanks at the old Fitzgibbon Hospital property during the Marshall City Council meeting on Tuesday, August 15.

Kehrman stated that Terracon Consultants Inc. had been contracted to remove two tanks on the property through a subcontractor with the city assisting in the initial excavation.

The council approved the $55,000 bid for the next phase of the project.

In other news from the meeting, the council approved a first reading to change the zoning classification of the property to single family residential for potential development. The council will need to approve a second reading at the next meeting for final approval.
