
The Marshall City Council discussed replacing two police cars during its meeting on Tuesday, August 15.
Marshall Police Chief Mike Donnell stated the cars would replace two existing vehicles that were deemed uneconomical to be repaired.
The council approved the cost of purchasing two vehicles at cost of $82,511.
In other news, City Administrator J.D. Kehrman stated the city has been in contact with the Missouri Department of Transportation in regard to moving a proposed truck route away from High Street. High Street had been identified for the route due to the planned closure of three railroad crossings. Kehrman stated he will be meeting with department officials to secure funding for an alternate route.
