Richard L. Roscher, 82, of rural Adrian, MO, formerly of Sweet Springs, died Monday, August 14, 2023, at his home.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, August 28, 2023, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Sweet Springs with William W. Harlow officiating.  Inurnment with military rites will follow in Fairview Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.  Memorials are suggested to family choice and an online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com.

Born April 26, 1941, in Sweet Springs, MO, he was the son of the late Charley Louis Roscher and Margarete Elizabeth Buie Roscher.  He was married to Edith “Edie” Roscher who preceded him in death on September 28, 2016.  Richard lived in Sweet Springs for many years and had served in the United States Marine Corps.  His career was with General Motors, retiring after 45 years of service.  He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include three children: Tina Anderson (Todd) of Sweet Springs, Doug Roscher of Bentonville, AR and Tammy Piper (Scott) of Sweet Springs; a stepdaughter, Denise Furey (Rob) of Kansas City; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and other family members.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, wife, stepson, Dennis Bell; and one brother, Bill Roscher.
