Saline County Collector Cindi Sims gave an update on the upcoming tax sale during the Saline County Commission meeting on Wednesday, August 16.

Sims stated last day to register for the sale will be Wednesday, August 23, with the sale scheduled for Monday, August 28.

In other news, the commission approved a request from the Marshall Chamber of Commerce for use of the courthouse lawn on Thursday, October 19 for the annual Trick-or-Treat on The Square event. The commission also approved the Chamber of Commerce use of the lawn and courthouse rotunda for the annual Christmas Parade on Friday, December 1.
