A nine-year-old juvenile was injured in an accident involving a golf cart in Chariton County on Wednesday, August 16.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred when the juvenile fell off the golf cart and was run over by the trailer the cart was pulling.

The child was transported to University of Missouri Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.

The accident occurred at 9:21 a.m. on private property in Chariton County.
