A Kingsville teenager was moderately injured in a one-vehicle accident in Johnson County on Wednesday, August 16.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the accident occurred when a 17-year-old male driver swerved to avoid an animal in the roadway and lost control. The vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway and overturned.

The teenager was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center with moderate injuries.

The accident occurred at 11:15 a.m. on Southwest 75th Road in Johnson County.
