The Odessa Board of Aldermen approved a professional services agreement for a waterline project in the downtown area during its meeting on Monday, August 14.

Odessa City Administrator Shawna Davis stated the agreement is for engineering design, bidding and construction observation with Allstate Consultants, LLC. Davis stated the waterline needs to be improved and the city would like to complete the project before installing new sidewalks.

Davis stated the improvement will be in an alley west of Second Street from Main to Dryden Streets. The cost is estimated to be $200,000 for the project.
