A Warrensburg woman was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle on Wednesday, August 16.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a vehicle driven by Devante Grant entered the roadway and began to turn left. Grant failed to see the woman, identified as 43-year-old Inesha Mitchell. Mitchell was struck by the vehicle and partially run over. Grant continued into another parking lot.

Mitchell was transported by the Johnson County Ambulance District to Western Missouri Medical Center with serious injuries.

The accident occurred at 5:59 p.m. on Business 13, north of Market Street in Warrensburg.
