
The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) will be hosting preliminary information meetings to learn more about the MoDOT Statewide Improve I-70 Program in two local communities on Wednesday, August 30 and Thursday, September 7.
Missouri’s fiscal year 2024 budget includes $2.8 billion to build a third lane in each direction on I-70 from Blue Springs to Wentzville. The meetings are open house style and no formal presentations will be made.
MoDOT is currently in the planning stages of the project and engineers will provide preliminary information on goals for improvements and possible construction schedules.
For those who are unable to attend a meeting in person, an online comment form is available at www.modot.org/public-involvement. The comment period online will be open from Monday, August 28, through Friday, September 22.
The open house meeting dates, times and locations in the area include:
· Wednesday, August 30 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Concordia Community Center located at 802 South Gordon Street in Concordia.
· Thursday, September 7 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Hannah Cole Primary School Gym, located at 1700 West Ashley Road in Boonville.
