A Tipton woman was was seriously injured in a multi-vehicle accident in Morgan County on Saturday, August 19.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the accident occurred when a vehicle driven by 71-year-old Catherine Crouch was traveling westbound and two vehicles were stopped on the roadway. Crouch failed to slow and struck the rear end of one of the vehicles as a third vehicle was attempting to make a left hand turn.

Crouch was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital in Jefferson City with serious injuries.

The accident occurred at 5:35 p.m. on Highway 50 west of Tipton.
