A Sedalia man has been arrested after fleeing from deputies on a motorcycle.

According to Pettis County Sheriff Brad Anders, a traffic stop was initiated as part of a drug investigation in the area of 24th and Engineer. The motorcycle, driven by Jeremy McDaniel, fled from deputies briefly, until losing control after he entered an open field via the entry point of a fence. He slid on the wet grass with the motorcycle approximately 100 feet until coming to a stop. He was taken into custody and later transported for medical treatment.

After deputies took McDaniel into custody, over three ounces of methamphetamine were located in his property along with a digital scale.

Charges have been submitted to the Pettis County Prosecutor’s Office for 2nd Degree Trafficking, felony Driving While Revoked, and Resisting Arrest.
